Scrabble Tournament Play

Individuals and teams of all skill levels are invited to compete.
Player tickets ($25 per person, teams of one, two, or three persons per team; $15 for individuals 18 and under) and Spectator tickets ($10) are available in advance and at the door.
Players can compete individually (2 to a board), or in teams of two or three players (two teams to a board).
Players and teams are matched at random unless specific challenges are requested.
Teams may, if they choose, challenge the department down the hall at work or their neighbors across the street! A little friendly competition adds to everyone’s fun! As an added bonus, non-corporate teams will receive three free raffle tickets.
Tournament play will begin at 3:00 PM.
Everyone will play two forty-minute games.
Games will be judged by the Winston-Salem Scrabble® Club. Visit their website at willcooper.net/wsscrabble.
Rusty wordsmithing skills? Not a problem! Tickets for “Sneak Peeks” at the dictionary and “Expert Advice” will be available for purchase.
Prizes will be awarded to winners of both individual and team games. The greatest cumulative score at the end of both games determines the winners.

Tickets are tax deductible as allowed by law. All proceeds will be used for adult literacy tutorial programs.
